The Detroit Pistons and Jalen Duren remain roughly $5 million per year apart in contract negotiations, according to reports.

Detroit is reportedly offering a five-year deal worth around $35 million annually, while Duren is seeking more than $40 million per year.

That's a massive gap, but both sides have plenty of reasons to stand their ground.

Duren is coming off a season in which he averaged 19.5 PPG and 10.5 RPG.
